Hi There,
I am looking for help on 2 topics
1) I have been using my own NETGEAR CM2050V modem since June 2021 and noticed only now that I continue to get charged for a modem rental fee even though the old was returned via a drop off at the Xfinity office in Port Murray NJ. I realize i should have caught that early but wondering if something can be done about that.
2) the only reason this came to life is I kept getting messages that my equipment will no longer work with Xfinity and i was sent a XB8 box even though I did not request it
While I have temporarily have the Xfinity XB8 working, i subsequently read that there is an ongoing back and forth about a firmware update on the NETGEAR CM2050V that would allow it to support the higher speed X2 plan I have (2GB down and 200 MB) up
not sure if somewhere here can help.
