cm2000 Slow 1/2 speed of service
I was forced to upgrade my CM1000 to a CM2000 (from xfinity's approved modem list) and things have not been going well. I was getting 900Mb and now 600Mb on Comcasts speedtest The CM2000 status is good. I have attempted unsuccessfully to get Xfinity to address the issue as there automated and customer service systems say everything is okay. I am extremely frustrated as its it seems to be a provision problem
This is on top of all the outages

Hello @user_0ebc73! What device did you use for the speed test? Was it through a hardwired ethernet connection or over Wi-Fi?

I have a solution to this problem. If you have a CM2000 modem and you kept your older wifi router, you will likely experience slower than normal speeds. In my case it was about 450 - 500 Mbps. You probably noticed that this doesn't happen with the Xfinity provided modem, but the point is you want to use your fancy new CM2000, so here is the solution. The issue is that your old router's WAN port is too slow to properly function with all the speed the CM2000 is throwing at it, so you need to upgrade your WiFi router. In my case, a Nighthawk CAX30 worked great. Once I replaced my old Asus RT-AC68U with the CAX30 and ran the auto setup, I was connected to the internet at full 1 Gig speeds. Rejoice, you can send back the xfinity modem and use your own gear! I hope this helps.
