cm1100

Currently, wifi connection is working with Linksys CG7500 to ASUS RT 68U wifi router. Both linksys and ASUS on the same network 192.168.1.0/24
Try upgrading to CM1100 (192.168.100.1), it works only on wire but not wifi
(CM1100 is on 192.168.100.1 and ASUS is on 192.168.1.1)
Connect CM1100 LAN1 to Internet port on ASUS 68U and connect LAN2 on ASUS 68U to desktop
Reset ASUS to factory default
Desktop works on wire connection but wifi does not work on ASUS 68U
CM1100 is on 192.168.100.1 but ASUS 68U defaults on 192.168.1.1 DHCP. Could it be an issue?
How to connection CM1100 to ASUS wifi router? Should ASUS provide DHCP ip adresses for wifi connections?

If I understand correctly:

Using this one?  https://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/CM1100/CM1100_UM_EN.pdf  (CM1100 cable modem).

If you look at the manual, LAN1 is the "normal" connection that goes to your other Ethernet router's WAN port.  LAN 2 on the CM1100 is for link aggregation (bonding two Ethernet ports together) -- so BOTH would go to your other router if Link aggregation is supported on that, but it doesn't look like it is on your ASUS -- I only briefly scanned that manual.  Perhaps it's possible.

It would talk about LACP 802.3 ad if it were possible to set some other configuration mode on your ASUS.

Don't use LAN2 on the CM1100 if you are NOT doing link aggregation.  Leave that empty.  Plug the Desktop into one of the 4 other ports on the ASUS instead (Marked LAN 1-4).
