CM MAC address already exists.

Was there a resolution to this?
I bought a modem a while ago, trying to use it for the first time now. Xfinity saying MAC already in use. Being used for the first time now.

Any way to get a MAC address released or reassigned to the appropriate device in xfinity's system?
