Changing home wifi password -- or blocking neighbor's access
When I attempt to change it, it doesn't display my modem info saying instead "not compatible with Xfinity" and there I stay stuck. My Motorola modem has worked fine previously. So am I ALWAYS going to be unable to swap out my password for a different one? Want to be freed from my neighbor's usage of my internet speed. Thx!

I'm not sure I understand but I think you might be trying to configure your own (owned) equipment with the Xfinity website. (?) If so, you need to log into the equipment and do it there.

Thx for reply. I've given my home wifi password to my next door neighbor and now want to remove his access. So basically my interest is in changing my wifi password. When I do it thru Settings, it doesn't "hold" and allow me to go forward with the new password I'm in Windows 10.
Have a Motorola router/modem that has all kinds of passcodes, etc. But since I've changed my SSID after purchasing the Motorola, I'm pretty sure my 'modem password' has been changed to what I call my 'home wife password'.
With Xfinity stores closed now and long wait times on the phone during this pandemic, I'm up a creek.

I don't get the 'log in to your equipment'. But thank you for trying to answer me. I've tried several things off the internet but looks like ARRIS doesn't recognize any username or password I enter. In case you didn't see my response to another person, I've copied it here:

Thanks, will come back here with the modem info. Didn't realize Xfin couldn't help in any event.

Almost by accident, but really after hours online, I was able to change my password through Arris/Motorola. But what a mess-up while it changed my username, and buffered for 3 hours. Thanks all for your help.
