Changed my Xfinity Router XB7 for the XB8 and now my Home Security Cameras aren't working.

Hello everyone, as you can read in my title, the cameras were working 100% without any issues, and after changing the router XB7 for the XB8 they stopped working, i went to the store to complain because i asked them if i made the change, if that was going to affect or change anything within my settings or whatever is included with my internet and devices added? They said no, nothing would change, everything will stay the same if you decide to keep the same user and password (WiFi), i said yes i want to keep the same as is... So there won't be no issues... They send a technician to check the Home Security Touch screen and something else and i mentioned to the tech about the cameras and he said Comcast does not support these anymore, these are the X1 1 think... Indoors only... So i am [Edited: Language], he said they served their purposed, if i want, i need to get the new version...

Is this true? I have 3 of them... Any input, idea or comment will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks In Advanced.

Hello @JoReyes. Thank you for reaching out on our Community forum. It sounds like they sent a Xfinity home technician out to try to reconnect your cameras? It is possible that this is true especially if they came out and looked at the cameras. I can take a look further on my end as well.

Please send us a direct message with your full name and address so that we can assist you further.

To send a "Direct Message" to Xfinity Support:

Click "Sign In" if necessary

Click the "Direct Messaging" icon or  https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging

Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there

- As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list

- An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line

Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

Press Enter to send it.
