Cell phone apps won't connect to xfi gateway

Most of my iphone apps won't connect to internet thru xfi gateway. If they do connect it takes for ever. I have restarted both phone and gateway. Even  changed out xfi gateway. It started with few slow connects and progressed to most apps not connecting. If I connect a second router in basements and then connect to internet it has no problems.

Hello! Thank You for taking the time to reach out to Xfinity Support, here on the Community Forum. What kind of connection strength are you seeing on the phone? Is the issue exclusive to the basement?

Wifi strength is excellent thruout house including basement. 

example of apps that don't connect Life360, Google Chrome, LaView, Venmo, Weather Channel, Xfinity apps, King Spoopers, non of my banking apps.  Apps that will connect are  Facebook, Instagram,

I was able to finally get connected to my iphone by following a suggestion on another web site. I logged in to router/ modem as administrator and turned off 5g then logged out. I then delete wifi setting on iphone , restarted phone and modem.  Then connected iphone to wifi. At this point wifi and all apps worked.  Logged back into modem as administrator restarted 5g. Everything working.
