CAT8 Ethernet Cable

May it be used for my wired connection?

If not, why?

Yes. It may be overkill but it can.

Anything over Cat6a is a waste of money. Cat6 is good for Gigabit. 6a is good for 10Gb. This is for 100 meters (330 ft). You can often get away with higher speeds at shorter distances.
