Can’t send images to android phones while connected to Xfinity wifi

I use an iPhone and while connected to our home Xfinity wifi and I can’t send images / attachments to any android users.

I’ve checked every setting in my phone related to messaging AND it works everywhere with any wifi/cellular connection EXCEPT when connected to Xfinity wifi at home.

this is an individual android user and/or any android user in a group message.

Hello, @user_a05d81! Thank you for posting and joining us here on the Xfinity Forums. A quick question, do you have iMessage and SMS/MMS set up on your iPhone?

Yes

As I mentioned, I communicate with android users everywhere successfully EXCEPT at my house while on Xfinity wifi; where 100% of texts that include images, fail to deliver

Thank you for confirming that @user_a05d81! Have you tried sending any troubleshooting signals to the modem using our incredible Xfinity app?

I send/receive messages with any attachment (file, image, document, etc) to any iPhone user with no issues.  It's ONLY Android.

With regards to modem issues, I have no issues using wifi for any purpose outside of texting as well (email, apps, etc)  We work from home using wifi and ethernet connections and have zero issues with connectivity. EXCEPT when sending an image or attachment in a text to an Android phone.

I've seen this issue in prior community forums with no apparent resolution.  I have 100% success using xfinity wifi for any purpose EXCEPT when communicating with an Android phone with an attachment of any kind in text.  If the text has literal text only, it sends without issue.  If the text has any type of attachment, it fails.

I've been with Xfinity for 2 years and have the same issue. I have an Android phone and sending picture attachments to anyone, iPhone or Android, either fails or takes forever. I can turn wifi off and sometimes it goes but I'm in a bad cell spot so usually just have to walk down the street or send from somewhere else.  I've called Xfinity on this in the past and they have no answer.

Hi, @user_uexg49! Thank you for visiting our forums page and for bringing this to our attention. I would want to be able to send pictures without failing over XFINITY WiFi. I apologize for the inconvenience this has caused. We are the right place to go for help. Would you mind sending us a picture of the error you are getting?
