Can't reactivate xfi pods

I got a new xfinity gateway recently and my xfi pods are no longer working. They are appearing on my network as unknown devices and they can't be removed.

I recently had the same problem. Comcast rep told me to delete the iPhone Xfinity app I’d been using to try to activate my pods and reinstall and try again. I had to do this several times but it actually worked. Eventually I was able to reactivate my pods.
