Can't log into gateway

Have Xfinity Now.

Trued logging int the gateway.  Got the page at 10.0.0.1.  Used username "admin" and the password printed on the back of the gateway.  It will not log in.  I checked the spelling and the proper upper/lower case.

I am an experienced user and have never encountered this problem before.

What is wrong?  Is the username correct?

user_5iigt4, hello there and welcome to Xfinity! I understand your concerns. Have you enabled the access within the Xfinity application?

I didn't see this option in the iOS app.   It's pretty basic and mostly useless.

Assuming it's actually there, where do I find it?

BTW, selecting  "advanced security" tab just shows a blank page for both Security Settings and Advanced Security.

Do you have an app for a PC (Windows or Linux)?

This is an older model MODEM rg1682p by ARRIS.

user_5iigt4, I understand your concerns. I have iOS too. We do not have any applications other than from the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store. Here are easier instructions: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/admin-tool-access | Let me know how it goes.

There is no "advanced settings" in the iOS app.  So I am unable to get Admin Tool Access.

So I got it working.  I reset the modem to factory settings using the hidden button on the back.  Then I rand the iOS app and set up the network.  I used the password printed on the modem and admin as the username.

Thank you, @user_5iigt4 for the update! I'm happy to hear that you got it working. I do appreciate your patience and the time you had to take out of your day to get this issue resolved. Are there any other service or account concerns I can assist you with today?-Richard
