Can't connect to game servers

Ony my Xbox one series s there are certain games I can't connect to like Destiny 2 and battlefield 2042. I've tried port forwarding, restarting the router, and restarting the console.

It's connected to the wifi just fine just won't connect to the game servers. The NAT type is OPEN.

Hello @K_B_S. I am sorry to hear that you are having issues with getting your games to connect. Have there been any recent updates to those particular games recently? Have these games ever had issues with connecting before?

@XfinityRobertA​ there hasn't been any recent updates to these games as of right now, it's been a handful of games that I own that struggle connecting or staying connected to. These issues only started happening when I recently switched to xfinity a few days ago.

@K_B_S Gotcha! Are there an error messages when the games try to connect? Is there anyway to see if the same issue happens over an ethernet connection?

@XfinityRobertA​ It happens over ethernet and wireless connections, and there are error codes I can follow. For example in Destiny the error code I receive is WEASEL, and it only states try using a wired connection, cycle the power on the console, and port forwarding. None of these options worked however.

@K_B_S I hate it that didn't work for you. Can you tell me how many platforms you are simultaneously logged into when trying to connect to the games? You had mentioned that this issue started after getting your services with Xfinity. Are you renting a modem or supplying your own equipment?

@XfinityRobertA I am renting the xFi Gateway and I am only connected to my computer, phone and console.

Thanks for letting me know. Of you search for the Destiny Error Code: WEASLE you can locate a troubleshooting guide for the error. Have you attempted and located the Bungie help document regarding WEASLE?

I have located a troubleshooting guide on bungie support website, it hasn't fixed the issue.
