Can’t connect to game servers

I just recently started having issues connecting to online games (Blizzard Battle.net, Steam, Origin, Star Citizen.) I cannot even get past the loading screen for Call of Duty games and for games like Forza, I will only stay connected to the online servers for a few minutes. I’ve reset my network settings, flushed my DNS, forced my DNS to 1.1.1.1, reset my PC, set up port forwarding, uninstalled/reinstalled, all in different order and combinations. I also upgraded my internet speed to the 300mbps plan.

Hello, @1kamm. Thank you for the detailed message, and for post here on the Xfinity forums helping the community grow. I'm a gamer too and I know I'd be reaching out if I were unable to connect and play my games. We appreciate the chance to help out. Have you noticed connectivity issues on other devices, or, is it just an issue with certain online games on your PC? I wanted to also share this link written by a community expert with additional troubleshooting steps which may help.

@XfinityThomasA The issue is just with games on my pc. All my other devices have been working correctly.

I'm happy to learn things are working well otherwise. Thank you for letting us know it's isolated to the PC. If you had you tried the various steps listed in the troubleshooting article above and are unable to connect with your PC, it might be paused with Xfinity xFi. Xfinity xFi allows control and customization of your home network. With it your able to create user profiles and even pause certain devices from accessing your home network. Can you follow the steps here to check if your PC had been paused with Xfinity xFi?

I have tried the steps above and they did not help. Also, I checked to make sure my PC was not paused and it wasn’t.

Thank you for letting us know. Is your PC directly connected to your modem?

I no longer work for Comcast.
