Can't Connect Older Device After Upgrade to XB8-T

Before I upgraded to an XB8-T router, my Brother HL4750 printer had no problem connecting to the wifi.  However, after the upgrade, it no longer was able to connect.  I got it solved and wanted to share the solution in case others run into similar problems.

1st problem: Device won't see new network due to network name shared across bands

2nd problem: Device won't connect to network once bands are given separate names.

As is often the case, Xfinity tech support wasn't any help and, indeed, gave me incorrect information.  The solution is below!

1st problem: Give the diffferent bands different names.  You can do this using the Xfinity app. Go to WiFi at the bottom and then hit the WiFi details button It will bring up a list of the multiple bands (all sharing the same name).  Click on one of them and it will give you a QR code and, at the bottom, an option to "Edit WiFi settings".  Click on this and below the first set of entries and the Broadcast WifFi name, there's a "Split bands (not recommended)" slider. Turn this on and you can give different bands different names and password.

2nd Problem: Because the printer uses WPA/WPA2-PSK with AES for authentication, you need to make sure the security settings for the 2.4Ghz band is "WPA3-Personal Transition". The "Transition" means it can use some pre-WPA3 protocols, which is what is needed here.
