Can't change password to access modem and router

Hi, this is very frustrating as I can't even accomplish the most simple things during setup. This never happened on my personal modem and router. Just the Xfi gateway I'm forced to rent.

I logged into 10.0.0.1 with default username and password.

It prompts me to change my password.

Modem restarts, and the browser page times out during the restart process.

I try to change it again and I keep getting the same same "timed out" message.

I closed out and went back to 10.0.0.1. Still uses the same default username/password.

Try to change it again, times out.

Wifi works since I set it up through the app, but the app doesn't let you change any settings or even set up the 5g access point.

This entire setup has been a nightmare. IT'S 2024!!!

Hello @Jonnykirch  if you do have an XB6 or higher Xfi Gateway, the 10.0.0.1 site is not enabled for these devices, but almost all functions from the Admin Page are available via the Xfinity App
