Cannot reach my company's VPN portal over Xfinity home network

I am unable to reach a particular URL from my work PC attached to my home network. I tested it by connecting my phone to my home Wifi, attempted to reach the URL and it times out, then I disconnect from Wifi and use the cellular network and it connects instantly. I even set up the mobile hotspot from my phone and my work laptop can connect to the VPN gateway that way, but obviously, this is not optimal. I note that I can successfully tracert to another VPN gateway (not the one I need), but when I tracert to the desired gateway, all hops show "Request timed out" past my gateway (hop 1). There is nothing specific in the gateway firewall (stock rules that say "Allow All Outbound", and the desired VPN gateway IP is on the same subnet as the one I can successfully reach, so why is that one particular IP blocked?

Happy to report that after a good 15 minute delay after shutting off "Advanced Security", I am able to connect now. Thank you!

Is it a Comcast gateway? If so, try going into the settings and disabling Xfinity advanced security, or something similar to that. It seems to be blocking some things, and there is no way to override an individual site.

Disabled Advanced Security now, same result. Do I need to restart the gateway to have that take effect, or is there a delay before it is applied...?
