Hi @Bestderek01

I understand you are unable to connect to the wifi. Are you able to connect other devices to your modem?

@XfinityAshley Hi!

The Nintendo switches can connect to Wi-Fi but they are unable to form a local connection on the on our Wi-Fi connection so my 2 sons cannot play together.  They can play against others on the internet but not locally.

From everything I’ve read this seems to be a common issue for Nintendo Switches on the Xfinity connection. I’ve seen multiple posts about it on here but every one seems to get their fix via a DM with Xfinity as opposed to posting it back to the message boards.

@Bestderek01 Let's work on finding the solution together, and we can update it publicly 👍

Can you please send our team a direct message with your full name and full address?

To send a "Direct Message" to Xfinity Support:

Click "Sign In" if necessary

Click the "Direct Messaging" icon

Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there

 - As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list

 - An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line

Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

Press Enter to send it

I no longer work for Comcast.

@XfinityYvonne

I set up a local hotspot with my iPhone and the switches set up a local network. When we tried with Xfinity again, it didn’t work. This is definitely a Xfinity issue not a Nintendo issue.

Any way to fix this without having to contact them via DM ?

@user_db7cd0 No. Even the DM did not work. I had to use my iPhone to set a local network and no one ever contacted me back.
