cannot enable port forwarding

I've completely reset my router, yet when I try to enable port forwarding, the router's internale webpage states I must install the Xfinity app on phone, which I have done but when I try to enable or access the port forwarding feature in the app, all I get is "something went wrong." I've submitted a ticket last year and the tech. was completely unhelpful.

a565371 Hello, and thanks for reaching out with your port forwarding issue. I would be happy to help in any way I can. To confirm, when you say router are your referring to our gateway or do you use your own seperate router with our gateway for the WiFi?
