CANNOT DELETE PORTS ON PORT FOWARDING

Hi I’ve been trying the last couple weeks to delete the ports on my internet. I have called and talked to agents just to be told they can’t assist me. I’ve done all the xfinity troubleshooting and still nothing. I can’t even click the delete button. When I click it it just stays on the same page.

@BebsBear Hello. Thanks for creating a post on our Community Forums. I'm sorry to hear that you are having trouble removing these ports and would be happy to see if we can help you here. Just to check the basics, have you tried these steps, and is this where you are having the same trouble?

How to Edit or Delete a Port Forward

  1. Go to https://comca.st/3IbL0d2 or open the Xfinity app and sign in with your Xfinity ID and password.
  2. Go to the Connect tab.
  3. Select your network on the Xfinity app or select See Network on the xFi website.
  4. Select Advanced Settings under More.
  5. Select Port Forwarding from the menu.
  6. Select Port Forwarding.
  7. Select Edit next to the port forward you wish to edit or delete.
  8. Select Delete this Port Forward at the bottom of the screen if removing or Apply Changes after making edits.

Thank you for getting back to us and confirming that those are the steps you have taken, @BebsBear.

Do you have the option on either the app or site for port triggering, and if so, does it allow you to set up a port trigger or does it have the same issue as the port forwarding? The ports you are attempting to configure are not ones that are blocked, correct?

I no longer work for Comcast.

@XfinityGina same problem as this man. It’s been saying there’s a problem on xfinity’s end for weeks

Just want to chime in and say I have the same issue. Support tells me to delete the old port and ignores me when I mention that the 'Delete' Button doesn't work. I have no idea why they would disable the old interface over the gateway before having a stable release of the app

I actually just got an employee to delete the port forward from the online live support. They weaved in a sales pitch too for an internet upgrade, and I just said "That sounds good. Let's stay on topic and I might upgrade if we can fix this issue". Then I copied it pasted it every time the mentioned it before the delete the port forward for me.

I also saw another user say:

"

I have figured out the fix. Turn the advanced security back on. Rebooted modem. Deleted ports successfully. Then was able to recreate ports. Then I turned off the advanced security... It's a shame xfinity couldn't figure this out. Hope this helps someone"
That might be quicker than live support because they only wanted to talk about upgrades, not the issue
