Cannot Connect Appliances to WiFi

I cannot connect any WiFi enabled appliances. We have an LG washer and dryer and brand new Samsung range, dishwasher and microwave. I had this problem previously with a SimpliSafe sensor but got it to work after hours of work with SimpliSafe product support. That time, rebooting the gateway, after a lot of other work, got it connected. Rebooting the gateway did not help with the Samsung range, which is what I am trying to connect now. I checked, and 2.4Ghz is turned on and MAC filtering is set to "allow-all". Note that the range is about 20 feet from the gateway.

I tried for an hour to get to a live person and gave up.

Anyone else having this issue?

Hi there, user_d42a4a! Thanks for reaching out about the connection to your appliances. I have smart appliances and other smart devices as well so understand that can be frustrating to go through. A lot of smart devices can only connect to the 2.4 network. I have the instructions below to disable the 5.0 network while you set them up so they connect to the 2.4 network. You will also want to ensure the device you are using to set them up is connected to the 2.4 network. Once the 5.0 network is disabled, I just disconnect the WiFi on my device and reconnect.

1. From a computer or device connected to the Gateway, open an internet browser and access the Admin Tool at http://10.0.0.1.
2. Once logged in, select Connection and then Wi-Fi. (The default username is admin and the default password is password).
3. Select EDIT at the end of the row for the 5 GHz Frequency Band.
4. Select Disable, then select SAVE SETTINGS.
5. Complete set up of the device using the device’s app.
6. Go back into the Admin Tool and re-enable the 5 GHz band.

Please let me know if this helps or if you have any concerns along the way.
