Cancellation--The 800 number keeps hanging up on me.

I have called six times this morning looking to cancel my internet. This should be easy for everyone involved: I am not in a contract and I am moving to a place where I cannot bring my own ISP. Each time I call, the robot tells me to remain on the line, and then when I do, hangs up immediately. Cannot express how frustrating that is, nor how frustrating it'll be when they send some representative to this thread to apologize profusely but not actually help. Yikes!
