Canceled service without permission

I signed up for the $50/Month (with autopay) 1-Gig internet plan locked for 5 years pricing promotion back in December of 2025. I was told that this promotion could be transferred to other houses in my area if I ever moved, which I was planning on as soon as my lease was up. While I was currently living in a development receiving Bulk pricing on cable service, the internet pricing was a regular promotion being run, I think nationwide or at least in my state, and did not rely on bulk pricing at all, which was confirmed by an xfinity representative. Fast forward to last week, September 30, 2026. I reached out to a live agent via the xfinity app chat feature and told them I was moving the next day, October 1, and wanted to transfer my internet service and plan to my new address, which was a few blocks away and in an area that the representative had told me previously I could transfer my $50/Month 1-Gig internet plan locked for 5 years plan. As I was discussing the transfer with the agent via the messaging service on the app, my router stopped working in my house. I asked them what was going on and they didn't know. After chatting back and forth for a little while longer and trying to figure out the transfer I had to get back to handling the move and told the live chat agent that I would just call xfinity once I had moved and had the time to figure things out. However, after I ended the chat with the live agent I checked the router to see what was wrong. I soon realized that my account/service had been disconnected. I had not asked for the agent to disconnect my account/service. We had only discussed transferring the service to my new address. I called up xfinity the next day to ask about why my account/service had been disconnected without my permission and that I wanted to get internet service at my new address with the same plan. I spent many hours on the phone over the next few days with different xfinity representatives trying to figure this out. After looking into it on their end, they all agreed that my service should not have been disconnected and had it still been in effect they would have been able to transfer my plan to the new address once the landlord canceled their plan, as they couldn't have two plans at the same address. They also checked into whether I could get the same pricing at my new house and they all said it was not possible. Now I would have to pay $70/Month (with the autopay) for the same 1-Gig plan locked for 5 years. One representative did really try to get it reinstated and then transferred but was not able to. The only thing he was able to do he said was to reactivate my service at my old address for the $70/Month (with autopay) 1-Gig plan and credit me $20 for that month to get me back to the $50/Month I was paying. However, I no longer lived at that address so there was no point in paying for internet service there. So now I am stuck as my landlord in my new home has been asking me to sign up for my own internet service but I can't get xfinity to figure out why my account was canceled without permission and how to reinstate it/give me the same pricing at my new address. I really need to activate service immediately and I would appreciate any help from an xfinity representative who can get me my old $50/Month (with autopay) 1-Gig internet pricing locked for 5 years plan for my new house. Thank you.
