Can xfinity agents see which devices are found under Recent Sign-In Activity or not?

Hello,

I was speaking with xfinity customer support today and I was concerned about the Ip address associated with various logins. The first security agent I spoke to over the phone reviewed the logins with me and indicated that they were from a macbook. I don't have own a macbook. This was concerning. A ticket was created. They asked if I had a macbook and that its highly unusual since I don't have a macbook, hench the ticket and escalation. I was supposed to get a call from xfinity's tier 2 security team, missed the call, and spent a few hours on the phone going back and forth between the security team and technical team. I spoke with the technical team, they said they can't see which devices are associated with Recent Sign-In Activity logins. I'm specifically talking about Recent Sign In Activity logs on the website; Account > Account and identity > Xfinity ID & Security, Security > Recent Sign Ins.

I spoke with the security team and then the tier 2 security team, they both said they have no way of seeing which device is associated with the logins from today either. So, why did the first agent say they could and asked me if I have a macbook/said they were associated with a macbook? Why wasn't this a possibility for either department to do when I called back? I spent the entire afternoon and evening trying to get clarification on this and was simply told they don't have the tools to do it. I need to know if it was a macbook or not because that's a huge security concern if that's what xfinity saw on their end. Because the logins are from my laptop, not a macbook. I'm afraid someone is emulating my laptop.

Good evening @user_barmx7, and thank you for reaching out to our Digital Care Team on our Community Forums, we really appreciate it. We appreciate you providing the detailed background information. Our team is able to see what devices are connected to your network however, we don't have a way to see which devices are associated with recent sign in activity logins. I can recommend resetting your password if you have not done so already. You can reset your password here https://idm.xfinity.com/myaccount/reset?execution=e1s1.

The best team to investigate your concerns would be our Customer Security Assurance (CSA) team which it sounds like you have already been working with them. Do you still have an open ticket with our CSA team?
