Can my singular router I use for internet be moved from one place to another?

I haven't had Xfinity for a while, so I have been using my mother's service. But now I have a new job 20 minutes from my house and they don't have any Wi-Fi networks that can be accessed for people of my standing. I move from 3 different stations about 5 minutes away by car and sit for hours on end, if I were to buy a new plan and router, would I be able to take it to work and move it from station to station and it work just fine?

I've moved my parents a few times, and Xfinity's pages say that each move requires an xfinity installation.  However, I have taken their stuff and just plugged it in at the new place and it worked.  Of course, there needs to be an Xfinity cable installation of some sort present.  In one case, I had to find the building wiring closet and make a room connection. This wasn't hard because that building USED to include free Xfinity TV, so the Xfinity connection was still in there.  If there had never been any Xfinity to the building, then I would have been stuck.

So, a lot will depend on these "stations".  Anyway, just some "completely unofficial" comments in case the official folks have no idea.

Konosai Hello! Thank you for reaching out. Unfortunately, your Xfinity Internet is not mobile, so you can move it from your home to another location. It needs to be in a fixed location, as your Xfinity account is registered to one physical address. It sounds like you may be referring to an Xfinity Hot Spot; those can be accessed as long as they are available and can be connected to with your device.
