Can I relocate my modem to another room without calling out a tech?

I need to relocate my xFi modem from the downstairs living room to an upstairs bedroom, but I don't want to wait days and days for a tech to come out, if possible.  I've tried all the co-ax outlets upstairs and even messed with the outside cables, but nothing has worked.  Is this something I can do myself and I'm just missing something, or am I stuck having to call a tech?

It’s something you should be able to do, you just need to locate your cables and hook them up to the feed

You should have knowledge of the cables that are running through your house. An added bonus is having them marked by room. Find the cables, find the Comcast live feed, and attach the two. Hook up your modem to test if it locks in or not

@CCAndrew I am needing to do the same thing. Move our modem from downstairs to upstairs. Someone had to come out when we first moved in and active that outlet.. What exactly do you mean finding our cables and connecting them to a feed?
