Can I Get Fast Symmetric Upload Speed in My Area?

Xfinity started the network upgrade in my area in early September. I think that work has been completed as I can see that I can now select a 2gb asymmetric plan for my account, whereas before 1.2GB was the fastest I could select. However, with that plan it states typical upload speeds are 293 mbps. That's significantly faster than my current 40, but not the 2gb speeds offered with symmetric X2 plans. Is it a matter of DOCSIS 4.0 modems not currently being widely available or is 293mbps the fastest I can expect to get in the foreseeable future?
