Can I allow permanent access to a blocked app without turning off Advanced Security?

Hello - I have an app that advanced security blocks from running.  When I attempt to run it, I get an entry under advanced security that it was blocked.  If I "allow access" through the Xfinity app, even though it says allow for 30 days, it only allows access for an hour and notes this.

I am apprehensive about turning off advanced security completely just to get this app to run, but that does work.  Is there anyway for me to allow access to this app permanently without killing advanced security?

Try contacting this team about it. They handle blocking issues;

Comcast Customer Security Assurance. You can contact them online using the link below;

https://spa.xfinity.com/?linkId=130556429

https://comca.st/3C2771k which will take you to the general overview page. From there, you will then navigate over to the "Report a blocked website" button. You will then find the section and tool you need.

Or call them at 1-888-565-4329 or 1-800-934-6489 and ask for a transfer to them directly.

Hello LarryJoe33. Thanks for sharing this issue with us on our Xfinity Forums. I'm sorry that you have to keep allowing the app to run due to the advanced security not allowing the app to run for 30 days as it should. I'm sure this is an inconvenience when trying to use the app. @EG is absolutely correct with the best path to take for help with this is from our security assurance team. Thank you @EG for sharing this information.

Have you been able to connect with that team?

@XfinityPaula thank you for the reply.  I submitted a form to the link provided detailing the issue and the name of the service that was being blocked.  That two days ago and I have not heard back.

LarryJoe33 Great, it looks like they can take at least 3 days to process the requests. You can also call the numbers @EG shared and ask for the security team.

Out of curiosity has the 'allow access' option ever worked for more than an hour? I'm wondering if the app needs to be reinstalled.
