Cable wire specs (in wall)
I am re-wiring (in wall) my house (all home runs) for new Comcast Service (x1)
Comcast uses RG6 - tri shield
Is there any benefit to using a higher quality cable? For instance a Quad Shield? Any knowledgeable response will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

As long as its CAT6 or better, should be satisfactory.
Quick internet search turned up - https://www.truecable.com/products/cat6-riser-ethernet-cable-unshielded?variant=13959156760643
Just my .2 cents.
Thanks and good luck.

Tri-shield should be fine typically. Quad shield is theoretically better but it may not be needed depending on the length of the runs, and if there is any other interference producing wiring in close proximity to it (like A.C. power wires).
Google "tri shield vs quad shield coax" for more detailed info.

What is goal of wiring home with COAX to every room?? Never seen that application used.
The gateway handles incoming COAX from tap and from there its ethernet or fiber the rest of the way.
Just my .2 cents.
Thanks and good luck.

The OP said "for new Comcast Service (x1)". "X1" suggests TV service, and Comcast uses coax for most TV service boxes. Don't know why that would come as a surprise or seem odd.
