Will my old modem cable work with the new XB7 modem we just got?
Which cable? Is it damaged or very old? What was the model number of the "old" modem? Didn't the XB7 come with a set of cables?
Ethernet and coaxial cables and connectors are standard for all Comcast devices that use them. Power cables are less so.

The old model is the XB6. The cable is the coax cable that goes from the wall to the modem and is in great condition. The new modem came with a coax cable but it is about a foot too short. I am hoping to just use the coax we have now.

Should be fine. Standard cable coax is RG6 and that hasn't changed in a long time.
