Is it wired or wireless?  What do you mean when you say "it is connected"?

You didn't say what things you read or what things you tried.

What operating system are you on?

I suppose it depends on how the printer was configured.  For example, I set my printers to fixed IP addresses and just point the PCs at those IP addresses.  (ie: I don't download any specific printer software, beyond the print driver that Windows installs.) So, if I moved to a different router, I would either have to set to the router to the same subnet/dhcp configuration, or I would need to choose new IP addresses for the printers (and enter them in both the printers and the PCs).

On the other hand, if the printer was installed with some software from the printer manufacturer, then I have no idea how that stuff works, so I guess I would just run it again.

And if it's a wireless connection, then either the router should have the same SSID and passphrase as before or the printer and PCs need the new SSID and passphrase.
