Bridge mode option to enable or disable are gone

As the title says, after enabling the web portal by enabling Gateway admin tools on the xfinity app, the bridge mode option in the "At a glance" tab does not have a enable or disable option. I did see multiple people posting about this issue. On the part of xfinity, do we have a timeline on when this will be fixed? Some of the post date back to mid December. I am not a programmer so I can not fully say this shouldn't take this long. Any information regarding the timeline until it is fixed would be greatly appreciated.

Firmware V: CGM4981COM_8.3p5s1_PROD_sey

Gateway: XB8

Hello @user_we7t0c are you still experiencing issues at this time? We recommend starting here: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/admin-tool-access

As I said in my post, I had already done that and had already accessed the web portal, that is not the issue I am having. The issue is that the buttons to enable or disable bridge mode do not exist. Just to be safe I did just check and there was no change, I still do not have a way to enable or disable bridge mode.

user_we7t0c Thank you for clarifying that. Are you using any Xfinity Wi-Fi Extenders on your network, or have Advanced Security on? These two things can affect your ability to put the modem in Bridge mode. To clarify, have you also tried setting up bridge mode from the admin page and not the Xfinity app? You can learn more about different ways to set up bridge mode here

@XfinityBillie No, I do not have xfinity extenders, and I had not tried disabling Advanced Security after receiving that suggestion I went ahead and tried it. I disabled in and restarted, and there was no change. I still could NOT enable or disable bridge mode. For security reasons I went ahead and re-enabled Advanced Security after the attempt. Do you have any other suggestions or a eta on when the engineers will have a fix out?

There isn't a specific calendar date for the fix at this time @user_we7t0c.

Hey, @user_we7t0c! We apologize to hear that you are still having an issue with the missing bridge mode button. At this time, the modem will need to redownload the firmware in order to have the bridge modem button back again. This can be done by doing a factory reset on the modem.

Before trying to factory reset, try to pull the power cord for 30 seconds from the modem and plug it back in. Once it's back online try to log into the modem and see if the bridge mode button has come back. If not try to factory reset an Xfinity XB8 gateway, ensure it is plugged in, then press and hold the WPS button on the back for 30 seconds. The device will reboot, restoring default network settings and the password listed on the bottom label. The username will still be admin.
