Block websites like YouTube/Reddit on Xfinity XB7?

Hi,

I've tried for a few days now to figure out how to block sites like Reddit or YouTube. I've gone to the Xfinity Gateway and added the sites to the block list, but they still appear. I've turned on parental controls both on the gateway and in the app. However, parental controls in the app doesn't allow the blocking of websites. I've tried using openDNS, and set everything up but the sites still aren't blocked. Any ideas from any one would be helpful. thanks :)

The concern is not "Home Security Devices And Equipment" help related........... Topic moved here to the proper help section for assistance.

user_8xl4r4 From what I can find to block a website you would need to list it through the admin tool which it sounds like you have done, and set a time for blocking. Did you set any time frame for it?

Yes, I've tried changing the setting from Always to a set time and different days. No matter what I do, the websites still aren't blocked.

Thanks for responding :)

Are the websites redirecting and pulling up under a different link than what you have blocked?
