Blinking Lightning bolt on Modem

I have a blinking lightning bolt on my Modem which indicates that the modem is searching for downstream channels.  When I review the power levels for the channels there are several that are outside of the acceptable range.  The internet still works, but I cant play Video games online without the connection constantly cycling on and off.  What i was able to look up indicated that the ISP needs to address the power levels from their end. How can I get this addressed.  Calling customer support was unhelpful
