Beware

I received a telephone call (800-934-6489) from someone claiming to be Xfinity support.  They informed me that someone was using my internet and also trying to steal my personal information.  The person had me open Chrome and open a website: anydesk.com ----- when he told me to click on the download button I hesitated and began googling and found this forum and saw this as a hack. I hung up right away.  I just wanted to warn all users to be alert and watch out for such attacks.  I think I just stopped a major problem from being downloaded to my computer. I also called Xfinity right away and a very friendly lady helped me get 2FA enabled on my account for better security and also tightened up my FW securities. As a IT guy for the last 30 years I am embarrassed to say they almost got me. SMH
