Been banned from posting by several websites

I've been trying to post threads on a website I use called 4chan and my ip address range has been banned from posting. In addition to that my computer is constantly heating up all the time and my internet connection is very slow. I was wondering if my ip address has been hacked or something as I have never posted anything objectionable on 4chan in my experience or if you've received any contact from them. Have you any idea that my ip address is being used in two locations.

I have no first hand experience with 4chan but it does have a certain 'reputation'.

"In addition to that my computer is constantly heating up all the time and my internet connection is very slow."

I would be suspicious that you have things running on your device that you don't know about and would not permit if you did. Are you running some sort of antivirus/anti-malware? I'm not that familiar with Windows anymore but I'm sure there's something that says how busy your processor is and how much RAM is in use - task manager? - that might give you some insight about what's really running. Perhaps you can remove what is loading up your system or you may have to backup your data - and hope you don't back up the malware - then reinstall the operating system and apps/data.

Personally if I wanted to visit a site that has a dicey reputation I'd use a Linux live USB without persistence enabled. One of the benefits of Live USBs is that they don't store  anything about what you're doing or have done online. Power the device off, remove the live USB and it forgets everything it did including anything it downloaded. I think that is still true - it was a few years ago but malware creators are busy little bunnies.

@user_939e87 thank you for your prompt response. I will certainly take your advice into consideration. However in my research I was told to contact my ISP (you guys) and ask them to contact 4chan and solve the problem. I feel very strongly I'm a victim of some sort of hack as my ban on 4chan is related to posting threads which is something I haven't done in my history. I am still allowed to comment on posts which is what I've mostly done but for some reason I'm banned from posting threads and now it doesn't even show a message that I'm banned but just a blank screen. Can you guys do a check to see if my ISP is being used from another location? This is something I'm very paranoid on.

If you are using anti-virus that uses a VPN or Proxy to redirect your web traffic through their site as part of a "web shield", their gateway may be blocked.  https://whatismyipaddress.com/  can show you were your traffic appears to come from.

If you use Xfinity rental gear, you have no ability to spoof your external MAC address and get another IP address assigned.  If you have 3rd party gear, you might be able to, IF that is the issue -- and it may not be.  Individual sites manage their own block/banned lists.  The ban could also work based on your account login.  You'd have to contact them about that issue and an explanation of why you are banned.  You may be able test that by creating another account, using a different email address to verify the new account, and see if that is the case.
