Avoid this internet “service” at all costs

Got an alert about an Internet outage. After a while got another text saying to restart my router. That didn’t work. So the useless AI had me “troubleshoot” by just restarting it again. Still didn’t work. So they want to send a technician. Next available appointment? A week. A week without internet. As a bonus, in the terms of the appointment, I’M the one who gets charged if they have to replace THEIR equipment. So, no internet for a week due to no fault of my own. Wait a WEEK for a repair service. Then possibly have to pay for those repairs as the cherry on top. You can’t speak to a human, only an AI. I’ve had a ton of different internet service providers in my life. Not a single one took this long to get a person out to check my internet. Unfortunately, the complex I live in requires that I go through Xfinity. But if you have the option to avoid the company, please do so.

Oh, no! This does sound like a long time to get a technician out, @user_6lp7eo. Sorry about the trouble with the service. Are you watching this on your Xfinity app? I usually get texts about it as well. You can also view the interruption here: https://www.xfinity.com/support/statusmap.

Please remember you also have access to our Xfinity Wi-Fi hotspots in case the service issue is isolated to just your building. Simply look for them in the available network options. Then sign in using your Xfinity ID. Here: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/about-xfinity-wifi-internet is a helpful article to show you how to access them step-by-step.

Have you checked to see if you can reschedule for an earlier date, or get put on the waiting list? If you currently have a service appointment scheduled, Appointment Waitlist is a feature that can

place you on a digital waitlist for earlier appointment dates and times, should they become available. Here's the link: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/appointment-waitlist.
