AT&T to Xfinity internet

Hello,

I got the self install kit.  Will I simply plug my new Xfinity modem/router in where my current AT&T modem is installed?  Does it work that way?

Thank you.

@user_b88bde AT&T uses DSL and Xfinity is cable, so no, you can't use the same connection.  You'll need to find a cable connection in the area where you want your modem to be, and if there isn't one you'll have to have a tech out to get you connected.

Hi, @user_b88bde. I am happy to hear that you received your new modem. You should be able to plug it into the coax outlet where your previous modem was located. I know it has been a couple of days since you posted. Were you able to get it installed and working?
