(ASAP)Don't want to pay instillation fee when I can do it myself

I am moving to a new apt that shows xfinity does service the house. Can I transfer my current equipment and service myself, or will I need an actual appointment to have Installers do the setup. I set up my current one myself and would like to avoid the $100 installation for no reason.
