Arris TG3482G (XB6) - Jittery Connection with Massive Ping Spikes

Hi Xfinity,

I've been having an issue where my connection is very jittery with massive ping spikes. This is evident when I'm having video calls, which tend to freeze/hang for a second every few minutes. This is also happening on my wife's laptop, so I believe it is a modem/router issue. I currently have the Arris TG3482G (XB6) and I've seen some posts on the forum where this may be causing latency issues. Would it be possible to swap out for a XB7 or XB8 Gateway?

Thanks,

Hank

Any follow up here? I've tried all the typical troubleshooting (run diagnostic, restart gateway, etc.) and the ping spikes persist, but open to any suggestions.

When it comes to lag spikes or intermittent connection issues, our community article below has great information about what we tend to look for. Since you've been doing your own testing, can you provide some of those results, so we can analyze them?
