Arris SB8200 slow LAG (link aggregateion)

I have 1gig service with an Arris SB8200 modem that has dual ports and LAG (link aggregation) enabled. Usually, I get 600mbps but every night (after midnight) the speed degrades to ~6mbps. The speed will remain slow until I disable and then enable one of the 2 bonded ports on my router. Once I disable the port the speed goes back to 600mbps and remains there until the next day.

The modem event log doesn't have any errors just a status log every day like this:

"CM-STATUS message sent. Event Type Code: 24; Chan ID: 37; DSID: N/A; MAC Addr: N/A; OFDM/OFDMA Profile ID: 2 3.;CM-MAC=*:*:*:*:*:*;CMTS-MAC=*:*:*:*:*:*;CM-QOS=1.1;CM-VER=3.1;"

Simliar issue with LAG enabled on the SB8200 and my router. Appears this is an old issue and Arris has updated the firmware to address the problem. However, that firmware is not being pushed to customer owned Xfinty modems. I have to disable LAG on the modem to keep a stable connection, eliminate modem self-reboots and have my router log fill with eth1 "buggy" errors (eth1 is the second ethernet port I am using for LAG on the router).

Same issue here with 8200 and the 1Gb plan - all of a sudden spees would drop down to ~4-5Mbps in the middle of the day for us.  Complete disruption to our services and took a few days to even troubleshoot.   There still is no workaround, I'm still experiencing it.  Disabling LAG drops service from 1.1Gb down to 930 or so.
