ARRIS SB8200 cable modem and 'audio clicking/ticking/pops' in my stereo

I have a few-year-old ARRIS SB8200 cable modem that feeds into a ASUS RT-AC1200 Dual Band WiFI Router.  I have noticed that I get a fair bit of 'clicking popping ticking' sounds playing audio thru my stereo.

Managed to track that it isn't the stereo: I have changed every device in the audio path except for the Router and the Modem.

Can someone tell me where else to look to track this down?
Can someone look at these details (linked below) and tell me if there is a cable system, or modem or router issue at play?
Tanks!

For a test to narrow things down even more, have you tried powering off the router and then the modem one at a time and see ?

@EG Thanks for the reply and question.  I guess I should have given a bit more info.

The modem feeds the router, and then I typically use the router as an ethernet access point to the modem (ARRIS unit).

I run an ethernet cable from the router to a MacMini computer as the 'entertainment unit': so HDMI to TV, USB out to an external DAC-PREAMP, DAC to amplifier.
Anything stored on the MacMini does NOT create or produce that clicking or popping/ticking sound.  At least not that I have heard.

But streaming I get the ticking-clicking sounds very easily (very noticable when there is a quieter moment with bass....like when some big action is about to happen but they do that boooooaaaaammmmm bass sound).
Not sure if this helps you, but if I turn off or disconnect, then I am removing the devices that seem to create/generate the noise.
