Arris S33 Certification for next-generation upload speeds

Is there any word on if/when my Arris (CommScope) S33 modem will be certified to work with the updated next-gen upload speeds? The modem itself is more than capable, and I had a tech out to confirm that my coax drop is more than capable. Also, I know the hardware isn't exactly the same, but given that the G54 seems to have a very similar modem (if not the same), I would hope this is an easy certification?

I know the current list can be found at the link below, but this list hasn't been updated since 11/30/23: https://www.reddit.com/r/Comcast_Xfinity/wiki/knowledgebase/next-generation-internet/

Thank you!

They don't seem to announce these things until they have rolled them out. The page you posted and the "All Compatible Devices" link near the bottom of https://www.xfinity.com/support/devices (at the moment it points to https://assets.xfinity.com/assets/dotcom/projects/cix-4997_compatible-devices/2023.11.22%20Full%20List%20of%20Compatible%20Devices.pdf) tell us what's current, but I know of no way to tell what might be coming.

The Arris S33 is on the list of suppored modems for 1G speed in my area, but I keep seeing that it's not...

Some folks have a link to a different list that recommends Hitron....

But here's what the Xfinity modem selector says today for my area (Hitron isn't on there):

But the Arris S33 is clearly on there, and that (and the sale at Micro Center) is why I bought it. But so far they've been unable to get more than 24mbps upload speeds after three visits from great techs.

... Arris S33 ... they've been unable to get more than 24mbps upload ...

The S33 is approved for Gigabit, but not for the new higher upload speeds.

Realize that although Comcast calls some devices "Approved" and some "Recommended", for all but a few devices those designations only mean "approved/recommended for use with their Internet service", and not necessarily "approved for the new higher upload speeds". For those you need one of the devices shown with an upload speed rating in the .PDF and in https://www.reddit.com/r/Comcast_Xfinity/wiki/knowledgebase/next-generation-internet/, which also lists other requirements for those speeds.

Comcast could make all of this much clearer, but they have chosen not to do so.

They don't add more devices because they want us to rent instead!  Its so obvious because all in the recommended list can handle 100 Mbps upload speeds.
