Arris G36 slow upload speeds, have the issues with the G36 been fixed?
I previously opened an issue about my G36 not being able to get 100mbps upload speeds:
I signed up for 1gig service in a mid-split upgraded area. I should be getting 100mpbs+ upload but I only ever get 40mbps, consistently. Upstream OFDMA seems locked and operational and has an acceptable power level (Upstream OFDMA at 47 dBmV). I have no splitters in my house. I don't understand why I'm not getting higher upload speeds. I've talked with support and they've reprovisioned and rebooted my modem but the upload speeds are still slow.
If the modem is directly connected to the rg6 coming in my house, and the signal seems acceptable what else could be the problem?
The issues between Comcast/Arris and my G36 modem were never resolved. A tech came out to check the infrastructure and everyt part of the infrastructure up to the G36 was fine, but the issue with the BOOT file of the G36 was never resolved. Comcast gave me a modem/router, but it is blasting my house with a hidden wifi network that can not be turned off and it is degrading my home wifi network. Someone in my previous forum post claimed that they had been able to solve their G36 issues using Comcast support. I am once again asking if Comcast has figured out the issues with the G36, which Comcast recommends as an approved device, and now I can use my own G36 device instead of the Comcast modem.
Thanks.

So, I re-installed my g36, xfinity support activated and rebooted it and now I get my advertised speeds, including the >100mbps upload. It's not clear to me what actually resolved the issue, everything I can see on the modem stayed the same, but it works now. I guess the takeaway is that if anyone is having issues with a g36, contact xfinity support, it might get resolved.
