Arris G34 - Is this reliable

I just received an Arris G34 cable modem and wanted to ask my fellow xfinity users if these modems have problems.   Last year I bought the Motorola cable modem and had issues with it disconnecting all the time because xfinity's firmware wasn't working.    any information would be helpful before I go through the hassle of adding this modem only to remove it.
