Are Daily Outages the Norm for Xfinity?

Just moved into a new apartment which provides Xfinity WiFi, and for the past 2 weeks, I’ve only managed to go only one day without an outage. I’ve gotten kicked out of exams, zoom meetings, etc because Xfinity can’t handle providing actual internet. Is this what being stuck with Xfinity is like? The worst part is that the bot and phone number are intentionally set-up to ensure you won’t talk with a real human being.

First. When these outages occur, are they being officially indicated with any info about them here ?;

Use a cell phone internet service, a public WiFi hotspot, or a neighbor's internet if you need to in order to check it.

Or you can use the Xfinity App: https://www.xfinity.com/apps

As a person who has his own Xfinity account/hookup, I haven't had an outage in 2025.  I'm thinking 2 or 3 years ago, I had one.  A few thoughts: is ethernet available?  Even though my Internet is solid, Zoom over Wi-Fi was trouble-prone in my experience.  Just plugging in a wire made my Zoom issues go from more or less daily to none so that's how I have done it for years.

On the other hand, are you actually running on an apartment-provided account and AP system???  Those are frequently awful and only good for light use.   Typically on those, the ISP didn't install the APs, didn't select the amount of (aggregate) bandwidth, and the apartment dwellers may not even have their own accounts so the ISP doesn't even know who you are.
