Amazon echo, Amazon tap and Epson wireless printer no longer recognize xfinity router password

Nothing has changed on the WiFi network password.   All other devices, including smart devices connect just fine to WiFi, all of a sudden, 3 devices stopped communicating.  After many weeks of going through all setup, recommended solutions, still unable to resolve the ‘incorrect’ password on these devices.  Password and connection is just fine with using either iPhone hotspot or Verizon jet pack.  Checked admin site for router, found 2 of the devices were listed, but blocked by tcp.  Removed them from the list, and still unable connect with same error of ‘incorrect password’.  Extremely frustrating - unable to speak to anyone in support.  This is an attempt to reach out for help.  I am a retired IT professional and need some insight into this problemm. Thanks in advance for any help!

user_uub8nm Thanks for reaching out! I believe each of those devices will need to connect to the 2.4 GHz WiFi band. If that's the case, you may want to try disabling the 5 GHz band for a short time to get these devices connected. Just in case you didn't know, disabling the 5 GHz band can be done in the Gateway's admin tool.

Log in to the Admin Tool http://10.0.0.1/

Select Connection, then Wi-Fi

Click Edit next to 5 GHz

Select Disable and click Save Settings

hello again,  tried the recommended solution (disabling 5 ghz band), and was unsuccessful at both the epson printer, and the amazon device.  I added the mac address of the printer - still nothing.  Printed error report on printer indicates MAC address filtering check failed, which is why i added just that mac address.  The amazon devices still indicated incorrect password.    Any additional advice would be most helpful - thanks in advance.

user_uub8nm Can you let the Commnity know which Xfinity Gateway you are using? Also, do you have the WiFi bands split or are all bands using the same WiFi name, and password?
