My Alexa devices only work on the 2.4 GHz WiFi. In order to pair them, I had to temporarily rename the 5 GHz WiFi to a different name (SSID), so the devices could connect to the proper network. Once connected, the original 5 GHz SSID was restored. No issues at all.
