Amazon Alexa wont connect to Xfinity gateway

I switched to Xfinity gateway and now my amazon alexa echo dot cannot even locate my wifi. I have tried every troubleshooting answer with no luck, i have even tried replacing the echo with a new one with no luck. This definitely has to be an issue with Xfinity and it seems im not the only person who has had this issue. How do i resolve this problem?

@user_7c9272  Hello and thank you for reaching out via our Xfinity Forums. Is the Alexa the only device that is having an issue connecting to your Wi-Fi?

I am glad to hear your connection and gateway is working with your other devices. This makes me think it is a set-up issue for your Alexa not your internet connection. I don't have a lot of experience with the Alexa device but would be happy to help research this connection / set-up issue with you. To get started, please send our team a direct message with your full name and full address.

Hello there,

I am having the same issue here. I just moved in a few weeks ago, and I was using my Echo at old address which was working fine, now I set up internet with Xfinity, now my Echo is not connecting to the my wifi no matter what I do. I did factory reset to my Echo multiple times and still it is not working. I contacted Amazon tech and believed that the problem must lie in the Wifi. And now I see that other people had the same issue before as well. Please advise what I should do or else, I think better to use the different IP. Thanks.
