Advanced Security Problems
I see only quite old postings about this topic. I'm surprised, but maybe I'm just not good at searching.
I discovered that Advanced Security is blocking the proper functioning of Microsoft's OneDrive system.
I had been using OneDrive for several years, without incident, until a few days ago. One morning, I turned my computer on, only to have OneDrive not connect to its server. I had made no changes to my computer or Internet connection. I also had OneDrive running on my wife's computer and found the same issue there. I called Comcast and was assured that there was no network issue. Over the next few days I tried all the Microsoft recommended actions to regain OneDrive functionality. Nothing worked!!!
Running out of things to try, I took my laptop to a neighbor's house and connected to the Internet using their Verizon connection. Success! Once back home OneDrive continued to work fine. I re-booted and the connection problem re-surfaced. I then searched for OneDrive problems with Xfinity/Comcast. There I found a few articles saying that Advanced Security sometimes caused issues with OneDrive ad other Microsoft programs.
Using the Xfinity app on my cell phone, I stopped Advanced Security. I then re-booted both computers and OneDrive came back to life.
What now Comcast? When are you going to fix this problem?

The reason you are not finding anything on topic is that you seem to be the only having it. The Advanced Security does not affect OneDrive from any of my computers, and a cursory query to others I know shows they are not having issues either. Hope you get it sorted out, but it does not appear to be a problem with the security functions. Perhaps you made changes to your gateway that are causing an issue for you. Have you tried rebooting the gateway? If you have done that, and the problem persists, your next step should be a factory reset of the gateway. That will return all settings to their nominal settings. If your problem goes away, keep notes on every change you make in the admin portal so that if you recreate the issue, you can undo it without resorting to a factory reset.

I am having this exact issue. I spent 6 hours so far with it and xfinity and no resolution yet. I did see a Reddit poster with this issue and it was resolved by replacing her xfinity modem. That is my next option, waiting on a phone call back from them

Further to my post ....
I had re-booted the gateway prior to calling Comcast. I have since learned that once OneDrive successfully connects to its server, Advanced Security can be turned on again. It seems to only interfere with the sign on process.
