Advanced Router Configuration

I have been having this problem for MONTHS and keep having my issues ignored. I need to have a ticket for tracking or a phone call by a Level 3 Tech support person.  I no longer have the ability to change my 6GHz network name.  I was able to do this 2 weeks ago. Now it's matching the other  radios, 2.4GHz and 5GHz.

Fixes for my issue:
Allow me to assign WPA2 security protocol to the 6GHz network (probably not going to happen)
Remove the XB8's ability to Auto-learn MAC addresses
Disable (perpetually) the 6GHz radio. I've done this multiple times and it keeps getting turned back on.

To save you some time…

WiFi 6E, the 6GHz band specifically, literally can not have a Security mode lower than WPA3-Personal. There’s nothing you or Xfinity support, can do to change that, not even getting your own personal router and modem can change the rules for WiFi 6E.

Also, unless you’ve got some incredibly unique situation, there’s no legitimate reason to even attempt to disable the 6GHz band. Only devices equipped with WiFi 6E capable hardware, can even see it, let alone connect to it.

Last item, you need to open up the Xfinity app, tap on the WiFi tab at the bottom. Next tap the “WiFi details” tile, followed by tapping “Edit WiFi settings.” Here you need to change the “Security mode” to “WPA3-Personal-Transition.” If I had to guess, that’s the root of whatever problems you’re encountering. WPA3-Personal-Transition is the only setting that will allow WPA3 capable devices to utilize it, while still allowing older devices that are only capable of say WPA2, connect using WPA2, hence the “Transition” part.
